Torrevieja Holidays: a place to go to enjoy the sun and sea, local culture the history and the people. The old village of Torrevieja has turned into a high spot along the Costa Blanca from its roots as a fishing village to what it is now, and it’s still growing! Every year during the month of August, Torrevieja holds the annual competition of Habaneras and Polyphony which today is part of the international musical calendar and one of the greatest cultural celebrations in Europe. There are musicians and singers from all over the world. For a whole week Torrevieja swings and sways to the musical rhythm of the Habanera with its tropical flavour from Cuba.
