When booking your next Costa Blanca Holidays take in to consideration a short visit to one of the wine regions and more to the point the Teulada area. Spain has become world famous for some of its wine and none more so than the ones produced in the Teulada region.

When you arrive in the Teulada region on your Costa Blanca Holidays the first thing you will notice is this area is nestled between the mountains and the sea creating a climate of special importance for grape growing. It has an average yearly temperature of 18 deg Celsius along with loads of sunshine that is so important to the growing of the grapes that brings the maximum amount of sugar content.

When you enter Teulada town centre on your Costa Blanca Holidays you will notice the town hall in the Plaza de la Constitucion which was inaugurated in 1991 setting it apart from its coastal neighbours of Calpe and further south Benidorm. The town council passed laws limiting the height of buildings and protecting the natural pines that cover the sides of the valley leading to the coastal part of the municipality making this a great place to spend a few days on your Costa Blanca Holidays enjoying the countryside.

When on your Costa Blanca Holidays you'll need to make plans and what better way to make plans than with a glass of wine in your hand. The area in and around Teulada grows some of Spain's most well known grapes from which they make excellent award winning wines i.e. the Marina Alta White and Muscatel. The Marina Alta white is made from Muscat grapes and has won several international awards. This wine, although very sweet, has an aromatic and fruity taste even though it is a white wine. The Muscatel is made from Muscatel Romano grapes. These are considered to be one of the best varieties of grapes in the world. Both of these wines can be purchased at the San Vicent Ferrer Wine Cellars Co-Op in Teulada and a visit here is highly recommended to sample the different wines on offer.

We said that when you are on your Costa Blanca Holidays you needed to make plans with a glass of wine in your hand and what better place to make plans than in a wine cellar. They have more wine than you could shake a stick at and the plans will really start to flow. So find a wine cellar, enjoy a glass of wine and start making plans for your next Costa Blanca Holidays.
